Early Spring 2016

It may not be spring officially on the calendar yet, but the trees are blooming and the grass is green at Risian Flux! We’ve also been doing some spring cleaning, with some changes to the region.

Be sure to check out Fine Art by Alloson Sands. He’s moved into a larger yet more intimate build, and his awesome new gallery is a great place to bring your friends and family and pass the time.

Still under construction in our marketplace is the all new Enchanted Imaginations, which will feature a number of small stores inside, and is being run by our own Cam and Baz.

Our great supporter Tylendel Falconer is still with us with his Gala Tech store, be sure to check it out if you need a scripted solution.

We also have two new smaller park areas along our main east/west road, great for small gatherings or a romantic cuddle by the water.

Our beach has been expanded and now hosts our Greedy Greedy hot tub, as well as a Parcheesi table inside the Enakai Wavebreaker. There are solo and couple dance balls here, and our wonderful residents can host a party here any time!

Sadly the Academy didn’t work out, but we put those parcels right back in use and have a number of new rentals available. These range from perfect for singles, couples, all the way up to families.

As always, the Enchanted Castle is up on the hill and is always open for exploration.

We hope you will continue to enjoy Risian Flux through 2016 and beyond, and don’t forget to share us with your friends!

Marketplace Updates

Spring Cleaning

Spring sprung early at Risian Flux, but we’re just getting underway with updating some things to make them better for our existing and hopefully new retailers, shoppers, residents and guests.

The north side shops have been removed, and the “basement” of the Marketplace (it used to house Ripley’s once upon a time) has been opened up into a new large shop. The interior space is nominally 48×24 m and would give anyone that needs plenty of space just that. Initial settings for the rental are 200 prims for L$500 per week, though it can of course be expanded to accommodate more prims if necessary.

RFMarketplace_002A cozy outdoor bistro seating area has been added to the north side overlooking the expanded lake, creating an ideal area for larger gatherings and of course anyone is welcome to use the area whenever they like!

RFMarketplace001The boardwalk by the lower shop leads to a small dock where the rowboat has made a reappearance, and there’s plenty of room to take a swim.

We hope you all enjoy this updated look to the retail area. If you know anyone that would be interested in the lower shop, invite them over and give them a tour, and have them message Matt for questions.

Autumn Updates

Hey everyone! We’re still here, in fact we’re chugging along quite nicely with quite a few new residents since the last post.

The marketplace got a face-lift at the end of last month with a new store-front design as well as new building materials. Materials very specifically, as the new design takes advantage of the new materials system to add more detail with normal and specular maps. This new design is seen throughout the region with a new texture scheme through the rest of the region’s infrastructure. We’re also about three weeks into autumn, with lots of new trees showing their colorful fall foliage.

Halloween is of course coming up at the end of the month and we have decorations out in various places, along with a spooky house and graveyard. We only have one event on the schedule at the present time, the Enchanted Castle Halloween party on the 27th at 2pm. We may have a Risian Flux specific party around Halloween as well, keep an eye out for more info regarding that.

A reminder for our residents, you can put out holiday decorations if you like, and so long as it’s a reasonable amount it’s okay if you go over your prim allowance to do so. You can also get in touch with me (Matt) about putting out foliage that match the rest of the region without them counting against your prim allowance.

As much as I may wish it would go from Halloween straight to March, alas the winter holidays will be coming up all too soon. If you have any ideas about how we can decorate or any event ideas drop me a notecard in world with any of your thoughts or reply to this post with a comment.

Hope you all have an enjoyable autumn!
